Dino Game: Wave Dodge - Grade 1-3
In this project, students recreate the classic jumping game mechanic using Scratch. Instead of a dinosaur, the player controls the Scratch cat as it jumps into the air to avoid obstacles. Through this game, students learn how vertical movement works, how gravity can be simulated, and how timing affects gameplay. This group made a flying cat above the water. A group of 1st and 3rd graders worked together to make this game.

Dino Game: Space - Grade 3-4
Students build a jumping game where the Scratch cat leaps into the air to avoid obstacles. This project teaches timing, gravity, vertical movement, collision detection, and game-over logic, like the previous game. This team themed their game as an intergalactic travel! A team of 3rd and 4th graders completed this game.

Maze Game: Grade 1-2
Students build a maze game where the player guides the Scratch cat through a path without touching the walls. This project teaches coordinate planes, x/y movement, collision detection, directional control, and how games use rules to create challenge. This team themed their game as a farm, with the player being the small chick on the far bottom left. A group of primarily first graders made this game (super impressive, right?).
